For better or worse, I sold everything including MSB and AGL last week after achieving a goal I thought would take 2-3 years longer to reach.
My new interest is in lithium. With too many miners, most won't survive. With 90-98% discounts from the bubble prices, I believe there's value to be found amid the dross, though I'm certain LKE is definitely dross.
Investing in AGL currently, in my humble opinion, makes sense for the long term, especially since it provided me a $12,000 boost to my bank account last week. At $5.50 per share (which is what I actually paid), it offers me a 12% yield, making it a solid "retirement stock." The most challenging aspect regarding AGL is understanding the drivers behind its price fluctuations. I lack a coherent explanation, which highlights my naivety—a dangerous trait in stock selection. That being said, I'm not sure if AGL would meet my criteria for a "speculative" stock selection, which includes the possibility of a 3X uplift versus a 50% downside risk. It feels more like a 1.5X uplift with a 25% downside risk at $8.20 ($14 vs $6), in my humble opinion.
