You're confused. AGL have signed a 15 year deal with TILT to purchase renewable energy. A lot more to follow. All energy companies wishing to do well are investing in renewable energy. To say that electricity companies are not making enough profits to invest in renewables is ridiculous. The electricity companies can no longer afford to invest in coal fired power stations. Rather, let the facts speak for themselves. Investing in renewable energy to produce power is far cheaper than investing in coal. I love it when people try to claim I'm wrong by saying they know better than the Government or the CSIRO or every other body that has demonstrated very clearly how cheap it is to invest in renewable energy vs nuclear (the most expensive option) or fossil fuels. AGL's share price dropped severely when the dinosaurs left. Now the sp is recovering as AGL has so far taken the right steps in turning the company around and yes don't fear, $12 is easily doable
