    It's a bit of a conversion nightmare actually, because CSG is generally classified in " gigajoules"..

    Also ,,, it's like any other commodity, in that it's sales counter price varies..!!

    Last year's fluctuations were between $4 to $7 per gigajoule..!!

    For the " rule of thumb" calculations, one can consider that,,,, one gigajoule is equal to one million BTU
    and in turn,,,, one million BTU is equal to 1000 cu.ft.

    So if you take the lowest figure of $4 per gigajoule,, it becomes $4 per 1000 cuft.

    So then ,, take the BCF volume that you think you have,,, divide it by 1000,,, and multiply it by 4 and that's your dollar value..!!

    e.g. 1 BCF divided by 1000 then X $4 = $4,000,000
    or 100BCF is valued at $400,000,000,,,using the conservitave $4....and so on..!!

    The price that you use is subject to market forces of course..!
