One of the top pieces of information to come out of yesterday's meeting for me was the appointment of Scott Bliss from Baxter where he had a tremendous career, fantastic success was that Scott had quickly got the tissue pass rate to 75% where it was previously averaging in the 50's before.
He also has sources a better quality of bovine pericardium at a cheaper price.
When Scott got this pass rate up to a consistent 75% Wayne then told him that the goal now was to get it into the 80's and Scott replied that he thought he could get it into the 90's.
This is going to have massive effects on our eventual margins. When this company goes onto make hundreds of millions of $ in revenues it'll be Scott we have to thank that our NPAT are so much higher than they otherwise would have been. So it's no wonder Wayne also commented that Scott has already paid his salary 10 times over.
