    Hi All,

after listening to the AGM presentation (thank you to whom ever posted this on You Tube), a lot of information & took notes.

A few things Richard discussed piqued my interest with Endometriosis test with statistical analysis completed, but we need a biobank for samples. Richard did say they were in advanced discussions with a “ large consortium” in Australia & early 2021. He also stated the test should be available in 1-2 years (very quick!).

So did a bit of digging on what Richard spoke about in the presentation & I think the below maybe it FYI:

https://www.thewomens.org.au/news/endometriosis-research-to-receive-9m-in-funding (Largest biobank in Australia for Endometriosis research, in late 2019 they had recruited over 1000 women for research, so that number will most likely be far greater now).

https://www.thewomens.org.au/news/leading-endometriosis-researcher-welcomes-national-action-plan. Joint research project (consortium) of Royal Women’s Melbourne, Melbourne University and University of Queensland).

https://www.thewomens.org.au/research/research-centres/womens-gynaecology-research-centre/wgrc-our-people/peter-rogers. Professor Rogers is a scientist & runs the research labs at Royal Women’s & Head of Endometriosis Research.

He is also on the Endometriosis Advisory Board for the Government’s National Research Action Plan for Endometriosis, so a KOL (Richard did refer to KOL’s contacting PIQ a few times during the presentation, not just for Endometriosis, but DKD/CVD as well).

Richard was discussing issues with obtaining samples, shelf life stability of samples & test results being reproducible across different laboratories (Like we did with Atturos & achieved that with PromarkerD & that was successful). So potentially a collaboration here?

https://www.health.gov.au/ministers/the-hon-greg-hunt-mp/media/funding-boost-for-endometriosis-research. Govt announcement on National Action Plan for Endometriosis.

https://www.mcri.edu.au/news/endometriosis-and-pelvic-pain-study-receives-funding-boost. Murdoch University are also running studies for adolescents & young girls (Paediatric).

I was pleased to hear Richard speak about endometriosis so compassionately & it’s a huge issue for 1-9 women who suffer from it & an estimated 700,000 in Australia alone & that would not be including young ones starting menses & this is where this test will be so helpful for screening & diagnosing early. No child or teeenager should have to go through abnormal period pain & potentially health & infertility problems later on.

There is some interesting research out on genetics & pre-disposing factors (potentially a genetic risk test vs a diagnostic test also? Both will be helpful) if you are interested in looking at that & also a test in development & clinical studies in the USA (Dot Labs).

For now just left it at joining the dots from Richard’s comments in the Investor preso, well for Endometriosis for now anyway. Not long articles to read either.
