We never get hard dates so it is hard to say definitively, but my sense is that things tend to take a lot longer than management alludes to.
I think AVR should set conservative key milestone dates for all of their key 'irons in the fire'.
if they consistently hit those deadlines, they will build trust as well as confidence that later milestones will also be hit.
At the moment it seems like we are expected to just trust that everything is on track and that the company is making progress. We all know that the pressure of deadlines can be useful to keep things moving...I really hope these guys are pushing hard to get things done quickly!
