lets see the implications of voting yes and no
Voting yes - Your holdings get diluted if exercised. Directors get a free ride at no risk should things go sour. Still draw decent salaries.
Voting no- Nothing happens. Directors keep working. Less motivation to work? Perhaps but don't forget this is a growing company which will mean they get higher salaries as time goes on. The big boys also own a massive 40%+ chunk which will make sacking directors a piece of cake. Big names on the register and their networks spread far and wide to many big companies and having a bad reputation amongst them as a director is a BIG nono. Besides, the big boys are going to lend their expertise as mentioned by Greenstone and Xstrata.
