The only thing I did was watch the short snippet on the company Cuprum posted.

To me, I believe the imagery quality wouldnt be as detailed or definitive as an in hospital CT scanner which costs millions to set up and run, plus the added technolgies to differentiate diagnosis.

Therefore, although the concept is great, I would want to see more of its capabilities. Than you also have the transporting of the device, weight v purpose, just imagine flying it from Brisbane to Boulia, get the pts head in the dome, and the damn thing malfunctions, has IT issues etc etc, and yes this even occurs in big hospitals.

Than theres the training, radiologists undertake years of training, so are these images going to be networked from place of scan to a major hospital ? if so, there will need to be major infrastructure upgrade, we dont even have this technology yet in my job.

How long is the procedure ? scan time v transport time ?.

If its a scanner that is located in all rural hospitals as a preliminary scan prior to being medivact out than yes it could also be extremely beneficial.

So they are just some of my logistical concerns, and again, just from a very brief video snippet, I havent gone to see if all these concerns have been addressed, but from an outsider, it is a no at the moment if it came across my "desk", it could be a one that got away, who knows, time will tell.
