agm assessment

Hi folks--been away at several agm,s and copped an unreasonable suspension over on another thread.
1.back on the 1/oct/08,i predicted McInerney would resign before the AGM. That happened and he did not front the meeting--no intestinal fortitude imo
2.again the margins were bigger than AGU because of on-market buying by the newbies and the placement.
3.the real surprise came,when there was a poll called for John Geary,s position. As we know,he got through,but in a very,very close vote. Apparently the problem is,there is still a perceived connection with Aberdeen St historically,even though most are aware of his non support there. He doesn,t seem to fit the "clean slate" category.
Bit tough on JG,because he has done a lot of work,and i,m not sure he will continue with this uncomfortable situation that has developed.
