No longer being a shareholder I can't help you but it is about time somebody put there hand up and questioned the salaries [apart from a huge number of other things].
This "alphabet soup" works well for those in charge.
Taken in isolation, [as the AGM's are], and the release of 4E's etc are also produced individually everything seems almost "normal". It isn't until you add all these Companies together that it starts to show its true colours.
BPH, MMC and GBA individually pay DG and others yet all Companies are joined at the hip. Make one decision and you make a decision for all 3 yet a salary is drawn for each entity separately.
DG for instance gets $125k from GBA, $115k from MMR , and $148k from BPH as per 2011 Aendx 4E's. Unless my maths are wrong that is $388k without shares or options to run these superior investments on your behalf. Obviously IF Cortical gets off the ground your gratitude will again be shown in the order of $100k+. Then of course over the horizon somewhere sitting beside the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is MDS.
They are, separately 3 separate Companies, but being honest, it is virtually one. How much do you want to pay someone to ruin them for you???
From say end of November onwards, what did DG do to earn almost $400k for the year. Think what you would have to do to earn that!!! Also, how accountable would YOU be??
[by the way if your performance was the same would you still have that fat cat salary and job??]
It's up to you guys. Unfortunately the chair usually has more voting power via donkey vote and managerial shares than necessary so I guess they will once again carry the day and get yet higher fees for next year.
Democracy at its best!! Gotta love it!!
