I see denial of the 10% extra as a strong signal to the board that we are not prepared to accept dilution at a whim.
I'll happily vote in favour at an EGM if the dilution is beneficial, but at least now there's a greater accountability for issuing new shares and the board will need to justify beyond the normal 15%. Not just 25% dilution because it's easy. I don't care that they feel aggrieved by this - its about being accountable to share holders which has been somewhat absent to date. Ewen sounded a bit like a petulant child because we took away some of the shares he wanted to play with.
Overall pretty happy with how the voting went - message sent i think, and rec'd - I hope!
