    "focus on cost per tonne relative to peers"

    something like this:

    below is a graph of the latest cost per tonne as announced by the following companies:

    as we can see, CXO has by far the lowest cost per tonne.

    the black horizontal line represents the lower sales price range of US$490/t that is currently being seen for 5% - 6% spodumene concentrate as reported by fastmarkets on 22/11/2019.

    looking at this graph, CXO is the only one who would be making any sort of decent profit margin at this low sales price that is currently being seen. AJM and GXY may be able to skim by, MIN and LTR would be flirting with danger, and PLS and A40 are not profitable at this sales price.

    Perhaps this is why A40 went into administration/receivers appointed, PLS and GXY scaled back production, and MIN/Albermarle placed Wodgina on care & maintenance.

    Therefore, CXO looks a good bet
