A couple of points:
- I’m mindful that not everyone who needs it could pay that amount readily, unless it was subsidised or covered by health funds.
- even then, if you are in pain and would like to be able to do again some of the things you used to be able to do, then you would probably go all out to see if you could somehow get the money together.
- when you consider the current out-of-pocket expenses for surgery, or public waiting times, as well as the ordeal of recovery, etc. $4000 starts to look appealing.
- the major one though, if you’ve experienced it once and it worked, you’d sell just about anything to get it again. Sounds a bit like addiction hey?
