the 1 for 10 consolidation makes capital management easier from a buy back point of view..ie they dont need to buy as many shares in a buy back scenario if they were to initiate one. I am very comfortable with this move now because the company has spent 8 months consolidating at the lower levels and taking out the traders. Furthermore, the stock is coming into a higher profit growth period, presumably generating some demand for the stock. If you create a rarity of paper, the stock should rise quicker. For what its worth, that's my view, but the market will, of course, make its own mind up on these matters!! As for the company traveling as expected, I suspect they may be understating the facts, but I prefer to be under promised and over delivered. On that note, most of the research I have seen, suggests a 7-10% fall in transaction volumes before surcharging and a further 10-15% after. I wonder what would happen if they actually saw a rise in volumes before and after!!!???
