They did mention even without that resolution they had $50m or so they could issue under existing capacity. The way Nigel spoke was mentioning "them/they" alot and as if something was in the making. I asked about a placement to a huayou competitor and they said "there are options on the table". Given the capping around the 25c VWAP may not be that large of a surprise...

I guess Huayou wasn't keen on CATL been issued with 10% and made their displeasure known. Which leaves CATL with the option of buying the lot, just no placement! Just speculating.
