The Citigold web site proudly tells us that "Citigold's gold deposit is currently the largest and highest grade in Australia. 10 million ounces of gold (331 tonnes) Inferred Mineral Resource - JORC compliant."

At the close of trade on 11th. November Citigold had a market capitalisation of $111 million while its 10 million ounces of gold was worth about $14 billion. In other words, the market was valuing Citigold's gold at $11 an ounce, not the $1406 an ounce gold is currently worth.

Can Citigold please explain to us why instead of being one of the "largest and highest" ASX listed gold stocks by market capitalisation, as befits owning the "largest and highest grade" gold deposit in Australia, instead Citigold has its gold valued by the market at just a token $11 an ounce and a market capitalisation for 10 million ounces at what must be seen as a token $111 million dollars?

Can Citigold also explain to us why with such an amazing disparity between the company's market capitalisation and the value of its gold it is not fending off takeover bid after takeover bid from just about every gold miner in Australia and overseas looking for large gold resources to add to their current mining operations?
