Although we havent received confirmation of the time of the AGM I think its a good time now to discuss/debate a few questions to be put to the company.
Since this is a public site, the company has access to these, and perhaps someone after the process might like to send it on.
There is much to discuss and 'right now' many questions and answers shareholders want resolved.
Clearly between now and the AGM there 'should' be developments...or more to the point there will be developments. We know that Ukraine meetings will take place in the next few weeks in September. We also know that Ukratomprom have said all previous Uran negotiations/deals are still valid, so these meetings should not be about 'yes' or 'no's' but more 'when do you want to start?' And Uran have CLEARLY stated recently they are keen to get Ukraine underway after the delays. We know Pribram is underway, and the initial results 'should' be known by the time the AGM rolls around. We 'assume' Brzkov applications, particularly now we are entering September, must be close to a decision (as the now famous "not before July" comments are now clearly overdue) Putting the research here the likes of SP3 inparticular have forwarded, its clear these negotiations have been going since last year. I think a number of questions re Czech should be put to the company. What of 'other' closed mines?
That brings us to Uzbekistan. Clearly at the AGM we need answers on this AND importantly we need to know why its 'gone quiet'...particularly if the deal/s there have fallen through. Its one thing to go silent when negotiations for a project are underway and sensitive...its quite another thing entirely to not report to shareholders negative (if thats the case) developments. No news/updates there for months is unacceptable as in April our man Schrimpf was hitting the ground there. Nothing ever since.....nearly 5 months later..
Bulgaria applications need to be questioned. The company approach there? Appears to be a backflip. Very 'airy fairy' announcement that one. So questions need to be asked particularly how that fits into the vision of advanced projects near production opportunities.
Africa needs to be revisited. For similar reasons to the Uzbekistan comments above. A throwaway line at an EGM...a similar announcement shortly afterwards. Then nothing.
Kazakhstan which has become the buzzword or 'next project' here on somes lips due to website updates needs to be delineated.
They are the projects/countries we 'know' about.
Importantly there are many others and they have everything to do with the company and its future.
Many of us need to think about this area. Its one thing to ask about a project. Quite another to question where the company is at. Where they expect to be, and how they will get there.
Clearly the 'production comments' by the MD need to be investigated. They need to be clarified not so much from December 2006 but from October 2007. 'Back then' it was ok to announce production in 2007.
For those of us still a bit in the dark here go back to URA ASX announcement/s on 18/12/2007. Thats not SP3 or Satori spouting off, thats the MD. Note the comments re production second half 2007. Note importantly also the very clear MD comments that state; "It is important to note that all information on uranium in Ukraine was previously classified as a state secret, with documents 'only now' being declassified after this provision was lifted 'last month'. 'For this reason' no figures for grade or tonnage of the deposits can be released at this time"
Last month being NOVEMBER 2006...10 MONTHS AGO! We know following that that further secrecy/declassification issues were lifted many months ago. Questions need to be asked about this. The MD has all the information we need regarding this and cannot hide from her comments or the lifting of these provisions.
Uran has the information. Ukratomprom is operational. Declassification and secrecy has been lifted.
I think if you look at these announcements many here will see why i'm big on Ukraine. Add to the above announcement the comments at the time by the MD that a further 'advanced' project in Uzbekistan would be acquired.
That folks is why Uzbekistan needs to be questioned at the AGM. Its not a throwaway line or cheap shot at the company. This was (and still is perhaps) a very serious negotiation the MD was confident enough in 2006 to say that they would acquire.
With meetings next month in Ukraine and no more 'apparent' barriers to entry/developments here, 2007 is still possible for further work in Ukraine with 2008 production opportunity imo.
So there you have it folks. Some ideas to get started. I will not be going to the AGM. I am more than happy to put a lot of ideas/questions forward however for those that do. This is a chance to get the information you seek. Its a chance for the company to peruse those questions 'before' the AGM.
Seems fair and transparent to me :)
