I dont recall the 'beat dram' statement but not to say they didn't. I'd be surprised given the lengths and no shit assessment by David at the beginning saying we will not risk our success by giving out metrics.

However there was something mentioned that WD basically said, unless its the same as DRAM we aren't interested. So if taken at face value, by inference we are at DRAM speed. However im more inclined to say the comment was a generalisation and not an absolute.

I will summarise other things I recall when I get time.

However my takeaway was that they truly believe this to be revolutionary, in ways we can't yet imagine.....IF the data supports it. So this is not an incremental improvement to existing, it is on the scale of bringing early flash to market, possibly bigger (my interpretation).It will also be developed and improved over generations...IF the data supports it.
