Hi S....B.... This is a typical example of a Company that has a majority one product in its business. I would, without any doubt, believe Edwards' BoD and management would have some serious concerned at this time. Also as AVR, should it continue to prove the benefits and effectiveness of DurAVR, the pressure on Edwards will mount. From their point something has to give. I wonder what other Cardiologists think/say when attending presentations where Edwards and AVR both present? As you point out -as more Cardiologists see the results of AVR's DurAVR, from presentations by well know Cardiologists the compounding effect will ensure its success. Given time and further proof of the overall benefits of DurAVR, would you as a Cardiologist want to use any other product. Surely in the back of your mind would be the 'what implications could I face using a possible inferior product ? ' - oops !
