New thread as requested. I repeat on my intentions on resolution voting which is all IMO so please DYOR:
Resolution 5. Definite NO. FFS 3,000,000 free carry shares for James for achieving 3 tranche production figures from 150k oz to 200k is IMO way over the top given his already high salary and cash incentive payments. Whilst I have no problem assigning a portion of the free carry performance shares to production milestones but 3m (current value $12m) to production only is absurd. Especially when CYL shareholders have already ‘paid’ by share dilution for the purchase of VAN and SGI to achieve these production numbers. My main issue is why are there no other Incentives/KPI’s tabled.? Especially for our Victorian assets. E.g. CYL shareholders have been waiting for 2.5 years for approval for a tunnel to open these assets only to be told quarter after quarter ‘negotiations are in progress’.
Furthermore CYL likes to use these following companies as peer examples, except apparently when it comes to incentives:EMR with $2.7bB Market Cap MD Base Salary (incl. Super) $666,000 plus 500,000 Performance shares based on the obtainment of multiple KPI’s
BGL with $1.9B Market Cap MD Base Salary (incl. Super) $827,000 plus 947,806 Performance shares based on the obtainment multiple KPI’s
CYL with $700M Market Cap MD Base Salary (Incl. Super) $400,000 plus 2,500,000 free carry performance shares already issued during 2023/24 with a further proposed 2025 3,000,000 Performance shares based on the obtainment of only ONE KPI – PRODUCTION!
