Gday Team,
well the boss was in great form today and delivered an awesome run through from go to woe of the products and the plan to deliver the products. It was filmed so hopefully some highlights will appear for those interested soon.
As usual the company reported that the market has missed the importance of a number of announcements recently. Good news for us is we are all used to the OZ market and its fickle behaviour....
Best thing for me today was the new blood delivering their stories to the shareholders. Great to put faces and real 3D effects to the names on a page.
"Mr Bernhard Optiz has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice-President of Operations."
Bernhard is a serious Asutrian who is going to deliver a Swiss built high speed production line for us.
He was happy with the 1ml line and said to shareholders questions 90% operations was pretty good for a new line and it would go 24/7 production in the first half of 2010. Alan mentioned it was a 35c product with a 35% margin but still is not the main game. He also dropped in the preso it would probably go to full sales on the 18th Dec. Nice work team!!
Bernhard said again that the build up to full high speed production of lines with 150M unit capacity for prefill was a matter of replication not a new design each time. The new lines would be tested by Mykron in July and be in and operating end of 2010. They have used a basic platform that they have used on 400 other production lines so once again amatter of replication.... How many do you want to order??????? First high speed line in by end of 2011 and from then on it is just a matter of $20M for each line to produce 150m units each with a 9 month lead time.
Production quoted at 450M units for 2014 and 890M for 2016. I have great confidence this guy will deliver the goods, an awesome asset to the company having delivered a $1B line for Bayer in the past...............
On the prefill they said they got the list from Sanofi on friday and it was at first glance a great proposition for us to move on and market the products to all the other pharmas knocking at the door for a chance to use our technology. Check out slide 27 of the preso for the first time it became clear what is going on in my little mind with the other Pharmas. Sanofi basically owns the two drug classes to the left, the other 8 classes to the right do not generally compete with Sanofi drug for drug so thats where the future lies with them. Amazing!!!!!!!!! Im sure we will see some big moves from them soon as the new Marketing Manager was all over the game with those companies and our product just cant be beat...
"Mark Hassett, B.Sc. (Director, Sales and Marketing) has more than 25 years experience in the sales and marketing of medical device and pharmaceutical products within the acute care, alternate site, pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets."
This guy was so relaxed and spoke with a lifetime of experience selling products in this market, his calm confidence in the product taking over the market was very reassuring.
I was really interested in the new Select product for the Vaccine market. Basically see slide 29 you can see 80% of the vaccine market needs to have a syringe that allows multiple needles based on the patients build. This means the new Unifill select product with removable needles is a completely new deal all above and beyond the current projections.
The current fixed needle system only makes up 20% of the vaccine market so all the growth is in the new select product. Chew on the thought of that one for a few moments people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not much on the factory just a drop that its going to be purpose built for the job to handle 450M units.
One question on Alans package, he played it well and said the new package would require him to deliver $700M in sharehiolder value for him to recieve about 1% of that amount. DOnt deliver and no money, Ill be voting for another $700M in shareholder value!!! Thats another $2.50 per share.... He gets that Ill give him a bonus myself.
A really great meeting and the new team made the day for me. No disrespect to Alan, Big Jim and Jeff they have done the hard yards but now its money in the bank and up to these guys to deliver the lines and the sales for us. My impression is the only thing they will need is more and more floorspace in the factory to put all those beautifull Swiss built production lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats enough for now ask anything else you can think of
Regards
Snork
