Small attendance at this a.m.'s AGM -
3 directors, 1 auditor, the new Chief Financial
Officer and 6 shareholders. Due to an admin. oversight during the changeover of CFO'S, there were no resolutions re. the appointment of directors and there will be an EGM in January to resolve this. Current directors are prepared to renominate.
The following summary is based largely on points made by Ross Horley during his address, though other snippets came during morning tea.
* Sales from China this quarter could be around $1 million.
* India offers great potential due to their links with Asia's largest private medical provider, and the rise of a wealthy middle- class.
*There has been no attempt to sell the temporal bone simulator yet, as the Cochlear link discussions are proceeding. All RH would say is that progress so far has been positive.
* There will be no need for a capital raising in the near future. The KSX shareholding of 13 million shares could be sold down, if necessary.
*The company continues to sever links with the old regime, hence new personnel in charge of finances, contracts and marketing. It is thought that the no member of the old guard would be in the top 40 shareholders.
*An added emphasis on "games-type" simulators should mean higher profit margins.
* The Australian market is small and divided. Will the various Labour governments now unite to demand on-going accreditation of medical staff, as happens in many European nations? Director Reid is well-connected and can monitor developments in Australia.
* The recent lift in share price is due to buying from overseas ( Hong Kong?).
My personal belief( i.e this did not come from the AGM )is that the sp of this company could take off if these overseas parties continue to show interest. Afterall, with only 93 million shares and 8 million options, the market cap. is still comparatively low.
But the big blast-off probably depends on the Cochlear link. They were very guarded on this issue but the fact that MVH personnel were invited to display their new product on Cochlear's booth at a recent exhibition, plus the widespread praise and enquiries received from many countries suggest that this could be a big winner for MVH.
I hold-and will continue to hold!
