all eggs one basket comes to mind,,, plus simple Risk Management ,, when something is so crucial to every single up coming trial you spread the risk.... or in this case not...
I bet if you single handedly caused a year hold up at your firm ADreamer there would be "consequences" , you certainly wouldn't be putting forward a resolution for options and remuneration packages ,,,
Plus the competition seemed to have planned well and progressed
