Just shadenfreude I guess. Y'know, there but for the grace of God go I, etc.
There's also that thing about a half-read book. I feel like I'm under the doona with a flash light reading one of those penny-dreadful page-turners. I want to see how the story ends and what happens to each of my favorite characters.
