I feel and share your disillusionment.

All I can say is that I strongly believe these royalty stream entities do globally, and in Australia will eventually, have an established place and following in the market.

MAC is the poster boy/girl of the royalty model, and in turn as the core holding of DRR makes DRR an extremely valued entity in the sector.

Unfortunately, it is (currently) a loner in the Australian market, MAC makes any other new prospect at best a distant distant (did I say) distant second, and the (current) Board being led by Management set on an expansion model will always combine to add risks associated with ‘Growth stock models’ to what (as a royalty business model) should be an ‘Income stock model.’

As such I think the crossed purposes of Income model v Growth aspirations will continue to hang over DRR while this continues. How much of a problem these crossed purposes will hang over DRR, only time will tell. But hopefully it doesn’t reduce actual income distributions distributed to shareholders more than at present.
