Wp has never... never IMO been running this company for small RI... it was like he was almost poo hooing them..as a ball and chain around the companies leg?..(wrong wrong... IMO it was the leading original holders) anyway where was it in the transcript?.. ... ...oh yeh...point probably had about 90 percent of22:15our register was held by retail22:16investors that's a good and a bad thing22:20it's not necessarily when you're a22:22company the size of Admetus you need22:24capital this is a global business with a22:26with a big undertaking and big22:28competitors it didn't start life that22:30way survivors immunotherapies and other22:32things but certainly the focus we have22:34now required the support of institutions22:36I would say 90% of the small cap stocks22:39on the ASX in health care that I've22:41invested that I've studied either go22:44broke for lack of capital or they have22:46massive share price to clients as soon22:48as they start selling stuff because no22:50one's ever fascinated by five million22:52dollars in sales and we follow that same22:54trend when you've got institutional22:56support both these institutions by the22:57way our staff quite doctors the stark23:00folks out of Hong Kong there's a couple23:02of doctors on the board there they23:03invested in science they look at this23:05company from day one of their investment23:07not as a 10 year old company but as23:09one year or two year old company and23:10they invest accordingly the other23:12important thing is these guys just came23:13on the register in the last few months23:15obviously late last year they're here23:18for the long haul23:19you know we if and when we would need23:22capital these are the folks that give it23:24to us we don't have to necessarily don't23:27want to tap retail investors we simply23:29don't want to focus either but my point23:31is that white-knuckle panic that a lot23:34of small caps go through when they need23:35money wondering where the retail23:37investors can support them is not23:39necessarily something we have to be too23:41concerned about moving forward support23:43from institutions is critical to a23:45company of our size and scale these guys23:48say oh they're based in in New York23:50obviously a little bit about SIA the the23:55principal at SIA is a physician himself23:57he's an ENT surgeon started life as24:00doctor ended up being a banker he24:03
Yet somehow these two so called new "Institutional investors" on board are said to be the future saviour (now the likes of Minderoo have gone). I mean maybe they are?......but how "institutional" are they? Why aren't they just a couple of doctors like everyone else (only just with a bit more capital than the average Dr they had to throw in..?) And just how big are their pockets really? Is he seriously saying a couple of Chinese doctors and a US ENT surgeon have the resources to single handedly fund TAVR to market? I mean maybe they have? Did he actually say what their net worth is and what % of that they had committed and plan to commit to AHZ? I would genuinely like to know. Or if someone could put a guesstimate on that for me...? Thank you.
