They are underpaid compared with what they could get elsewhere.
Deny it all you like, but it's best to listen to the AGM, and look into who they are, what their track record is there, and where they come from.
Then evaluate the likelihood of success in the medium to LT given all other relevant factors dealt with at the AGM.
