I would think the free options is the best party of the deal. Your can sell your shares and put the options in the drawer. If anything ever happens at any time In the next 5 years that boosts the price past 9c your just convert the options. If the company ceases to exist no loss. Perfect for a comoany like this I think as were all waiting for one big discovery and with the options you can wait at no cost.
