Corporations Act 2001 - sect 249N says shareholders with 5% or more may submit motions to company for distribution to owners / shareholders for voting at General Meeting.
Alternatively 100 shareholders ( regardless of individual and aggregate holdings sizes ) may submit motions to company for distribution by company.
5% of issued capital 28.6.2019 is 35, 667, 286 ofp and could be readily organised by smaller holders.
Applying cluster figure ( 100, 00 + ) to 2019 numbers average holding 521660 gives 69 holders to aggregate shareholdings to reach 5%.
Motions submitted to company 2 months before a scheduled meeting are distributed by company at its own cost with the already planned notice of general meeting.
Motions submitted after 2 months before an already planned general meeting are distributed by company at submitters expense or company may at its discretion pay costs of distribution itself.
Asset rich / high disposable income holders / executives / Board / short -term traders have different preferences to smaller shareholders in matters such as dividends / publication of updated SOA style information . They may have different ideas about company restructure / separation of assets / frontier prospects IPO etc., Smaller owners / shareholders position themselves best by organising to act together ( 100 ) prior to motion submissions likely mid August - unless company advises before that it will accept and distribute motions received after that time at its own cost.
Shareholders with Legal background / associations could co-ordinate legal preparation of submissions by 100 holders. This may be necessary after CTP publish timely update of SOA type information or after its failure to do so. Events will develop quickly - now it time to prepare and organise.
