I have to say one really annoying side effect of the GFC was the scaling back of leverage to smaller cap stocks. I wanted to leverage hard into Biota but both my margin lending accounts scaled back leverage to 0%, from memory the CFD wasn't attractive given the limited leverage and volatility of the stock... really annoying.

Out of interest how do you manage volatility, do you take stop losses or top up capital if the price falls?
