I followed Angry Bird closely. There was a lot of publicity prior to and during the movie release - movie trailers on screen and YouTube, Macers toys, T-Shirts, Plush toys, etc. The AB fad lasted for a total of about 3 months. The same with BFG and Peanuts. From what I gather yowie sold all or most of their AB yowie stock during the 3 months. The movie was launched in May as was the launch of Angry Bird yowies. So during a period of low sales (US summer) AB yowies managed to help boost sales.

Have not seen any publicity on YouTube, so from what I can gather, Yowie Yo Kai Watch have not yet started to sell. I will ask at the AGM.
