The patient that we used bronchitrol on (with the drug being used under special access) was a middle aged quadriplegic with pneumonia who was unable to effectively clear their sputum (despite seemingly recovering from their infection). So a different class to the usual cystic fibrosis patients, but not that different a mechanism.
(To put it simply - they were drowning in their phlegm)
The use of bronchitrol was quite impressive - and we were all convinced that the drug was what made the difference between the patient recovering and dying. Obviously you would need to see such improvements repeated on a much larger double blind controlled trial - but that is what has been/ is being done.
I am prepared to wait to see the long term results of this stock - understanding that market sentiment is against any pharmaceutical stocks in their research / development stage. But to my mind, that allows a long term cheaper entry point (not without risk).
