I agree that it always prudent to assess the upside potential and the downside risks.
The upside potential in this case is, however, quite breathtaking and worthy of "special mention" given that it is yet to hit the wider media.
From my perspective, the downside risk has been substantially reduced by the signing of Sony which has added considerable credibility to the technology.
Any technology including well established, commercially successful technology has some level of risk attaching to it.
While not quite in this league, it is getting a lot closer.
Pre-commercialised technology is hard to value, but remember what value the market placed on Metal Storm at its peak which I think would translate in to $30-$40 a share in AKP terms. AKP is also somewhat more attractive in its commercial potential.
