I have absolutely no basis for this - it is pure (desperate...) speculation: But- I notice that all the past few years' AGMs have been held in Nov. This years is a bit "early", in Oct. Is it possible a reason for this could be that the want shareholders to approve the bonus package to IG, before announcing a takeover deal? Otherwise IG wouldn't get anything on a takeover..... Wasn't the MMK deal announced the day after the 2011 AGM?
Maybe in the current IO and funding environment I really am just desperate ....
