The US election surprised almost everyone, the gold market has surprised everyone, we are in for a turbulent ride now. I am not concerned about the sudden short-term pull back in gold. With Trump, the gold price has a gift that will keep on giving....internationally relations as well as civil unrest will be on the agenda for the next four years. How will the US pay for his promises and tax cuts? That will be an interesting one to watch.
I am more contented with the outlook for ABU than I have been for a very long time. I think the new management are genuinely excited by what they have to work with. They have said they want to exploit the most prospective and easy targets first. Matt Briggs said that Supplejack and Tanami are the the first priorities, and he is working on a forward plan of priorities for all our targets.
We can expect some good announcements before Xmas I think.
