If the directors have news that the market doesn't they can't trade, as zoomy suggested it is inside trading. If information gives you an unfair advantage and would be expected to be price sensitive in nature if the market knew the data then you cannot trade.
So what zoomy is saying is that if directors were buying on market right now it would be telling the market that there is no price sensitive news coming in the ST (otherwise it would be illegal)
We know this isn't the case though. There is mining plan approval due, there is finance due, there is a BOA due and there is a resource upgrade due. It is reasonable to expect management have info that we don't on the progress of all four of these things and as such are shut out from transacting.
