Its a pretty long bow to draw because there is very little downside for FAR having a go at PE.
The question I would pose is is FAR going to arbitration a dis- incentive to buying FAR out?
I actually think it might be an incentive. Imagine if you looked at the case and thought FAR had a chance of winning. What better time than before it comes off to put a bid in?
A French court, I imagine Total would have a pretty good handle on how the French courts deal with PE. DB
