Some additional stuff.

• As well as the FRACU (combat uniforms) there is a move to put some level of FR in all uniforms which are only treated with insect repellant resulting in creating a combined product. This could turn out to a be a very large opportunity.
• There is a re-engineered version of PCM coming which will provide the same functionality and effectiveness  at a much reduced cost and widen the market opportunities with lower priced clothing  (T shirts etc) and under clothes.
• As the regulations bite and existing halogenated and formaldehyde emitting chemistries are removed from production there was the question of whether the chemical companies would try to move into the same space as Alexium. According to Dirk FR is a small part of the bigger companies product portfolio and usually only exist as a catalogue item and  they are showing signs of moving on and leaving the field.
• Alexium has made gains with major suppliers in the bedding industry across major producers who have a wide range of brands within their stables. There is more to come in this area with other producers in the loop. There are multiple opportunities in the various components of the supply chain, not just with the bedding producers.
• Modern and more highly flammable materials in newer housing has reduced the margin of safety compared with older houses. The window for escaping from a burning modern houses is just a few minutes these day and this is an area where they see more focus going forward.
• The R&D team (Bob Brookins and helpers) have the skills to develop these complex chemistries which enable Alexium products to combine multiple functions whilst maintaining single pass application with far more consistent results. Other competing non halogenated FR products are much more difficult to apply and often require reworking. They can provide effective FR performance but can't match Alexium's ease of use. Alexium is cost competitive anyway.
