Maybe I can add something here:
The DOL Diabecell project has been significantly advanced, and as Assen suggested a modified/improved version is now ready for a phase 2 trial in the US.
Otsuka have apparently filed a submission for a trial with the FDA already. If that trial is successful then LCT would effectively have a free worldwide license to sell Diabecell outside of the US and Japan.
IMO that would surely mean at a minimum LCT would have enhanced assets and sufficient revenue to be self funding, and its adds another quite significant strand to the company besides NTcell. Given the amount of money that Otsuka have sunk into Diabecell over a number years, they must think they have made enough progress to think they can get a return on their investment.
