Hey folks
Been busy since the AGM so haven't been able to type up my notes about the day.
I'll try to avoid what others have already said
- Richard, Brandon, Sonia and Andy were extremely gracious with their time spending around 1.5 hours post AGM speaking to share holders. I know you guys read this so thank you!
- The execs did indicate they read Hotcopper regularly. Richard addressed oggde and Scrooge's down ramp posts
- Brandon was very impressive for a 23 year old. He certainly has a vision and a plan for the company
- Andy took on board my feedback about communication of the deferred revenue and will over communicate next time
- Confirmed that the "dreaded" deferred revenue will have minimal costs associated to deliver
- US inherently understands the need for video, and hence take up has been stronger than Aust. Expectation is revenues will overtake Australia in the near future and they've created production / editing team over there to handle expected volume of videos
- Main focus is on US. UK will potter along but not main priority
- Expectation that the growth in number of subscribers they will be able to onboard each week will
significantly ramp up over the next 5-6 months
- Business model will concentrate on specific targeted defined verticals, similar to the Intermedia Group
- Richard mentioned Shopify's US$10B market cap at 200K users @ ARPU of $1K. We have 4.9K users at ARPU of $7.5K. Connect the dots with my previous statement
- NASDAQ listing will be fait accompli once we grow in the US
- Richard is being "mentored" by a US billionaire tech entrepreneur who thinks this is one of the best business models amongst all tech companies as we own the content
- Very excited about the Tipsly acquisition and consequence for Pillar 3
- Business model has numerous avenues to monetise content (obvious and non-obvious)
- If someone were to make a takeover attempt, the key group of shareholders wouldn't consider anything less than $15
- Lastly, I can confirm
@chakay is DEFINITELY NOT Sonia
There's a heap of other things that I've already forgotten
