I've been the past 4 years in Asia, big part of that in Thailand.

I would NEVER ever invest in anything that touches Thailand, Indonesia, China, Cambodia (Vietnam, Malaysia, and PH are not that bad). You have to understand that the way they think has ZERO logic and shame doesn't exist in their minds. When they get in rage they will do whatever they can to take you down, even if it means losing their own legs.

First couple of years I couldn't understand keeping face. I mean - don't be a criminal, assho$e, or scammer and there is no issue, right? Well the custom is there for the other reason - so they can exploit and not be called out. IF they are, then you have defamation laws which are criminal offence. It doesn't matter that you said 100% truth, but if it made bad impact on the criminal you will still be liable.

I met Thais who would break friendship over $4 !!! And they are not poor. I met millionaires who would refuse to pay their employees $700 in commission - after they brought the business AND they only get paid via commissions, no base salary.

And always - what you see is far from the actual reality.
