No definitely not necessary, just the way it is. They don't get communication from holders through the website. Contact details may be on there though most would already have those anyway so really wouldnt have made much difference to the "traffic" the bod would have been receiving. It was also mentioned that it is an asx requirement to have the website in line with asx announcements - removal of ski - and like you say investors will get their info from asx
