I reckon we would have heard some details about alliances with Merial by now, if not for the horse flu outbreak. Merial is supplying the major vaccine for EI in Australia (ProteqFlu TE, manufactured at the Merial Laboratory in France) and would be very busy servicing this market,as we speak. And dont forget the significant reorganisation involved with Merials acquisition of Ancare Animal Health. On the positive side, this reorganisation should create capabilities and opportunities for development of new vaccine candidates. Now where are they going to get new vaccines to develop?
