DD- Further Drilling about to commece. It was first thought that DD was like a Witwatersrand (probably mis-spelt) deposit,but now appears to be in channeled payshoots. The aim is still to go from inferred to indicated to measured status.
Ralph did point out that their are only 3 labs in Sth Africa that can test for radioactive materials, so result delays seem to be genuine.
Guinea- When AEX first applied the country had a different mining Minister, since then the govt has decided to bring guinea in line with other African nations in regard to mining policy. Guinea is very pro mining (and anti French)but had leases all over the place without anything neccessarily happening. The new policy is basicly Use It or Lose It. All leases are being reviewed and plots reduced to 500 square kms, although u can have more than one plot (as is AEX"s case). This process takes time as Co's involved have right of appeal etc. Anyhow AEX have shown they have the required expertise in place and have paid the license fees ($4.00/squ km + $200/block) of about $30k.
