Earlier this week, it turns out Japan decided to grant Hazer their system patent (explains the SP excitement, I think). They have to pay a registration fee and it’s theirs, with the caveat it can be challenged during the first six months. Luckily, challenges are quite rare, successful ones much rarer.
The other patent, around graphite morphology, was granted in mid-Dec. Same process applies.
Overall, great news from a very important market. Now they have the complete set, maybe it’s a shot in the arm for those delayed feasibility studies?
