Surprised they just flat out denied that they gave the impression there would be no raise and the interviewer just let it through to the keeper and agreed.

In the below video at the 6:30ish mark.

Maybe that it isn't explicitly saying it and perhaps it is ambiguous, but I don't know how else to interpret that other than a big raise would not be required.
