They know that there are too many disgruntled shareholders in Melbourne, with a lot of money. Usually, companies alter the locations of the Annual Shareholders Meeting, in this case they know that they would be mince meat if the went to either Melbourne or Sydney, hence no change in location.
IMO this is a very sneaky approach, they're not bound by law to have it in Adelaide. There is nothing more too it. Go to Adelaide = less reception = less intervention etc. You get my drift.
