when i was working for an iron ore major and operating at margins of less than $10 a wise old general manager came in to tidy up a bit. he sat everyone down, and told us we had to work out how many tonnes of iron ore we had to shift to pay our individual salaries.
i think the same needs to happen at Atlas. last time i looked KB was on $800k. atlas have been running at margins of less than $10/tonne but we'll say a nominal $10/tonne. that makes 80,000 tonnes or about 890 ore wagons, or about 1 panamax of dry ore.
