The fact that the rumour was leaked by the AFR was it wanted to do maximum damage before QE3 and Chinese easing.
One thing they didn't count on is a Trading Halt lasting until Tuesday.
Perhaps the bankers don't spend a lot of time reading Halloween by the Fairfax propaganda machine.
