GRD Minproc awarded services agreement
Engineering construction company GRD Minproc, a subsidiary of GRD Limited (ASX: GRD), has
signed an ongoing services agreement with BHP Billiton for its Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation.
The two year agreement is wide ranging and includes engineering, project management, procurement
and construction management services where required.
GRD Minproc, in joint venture, was involved in multiple stages of the Ravensthorpe Nickel life cycle –
from feasibility study through project implementation. The joint venture team performed detailed
engineering, procurement and construction management for the project
GRD Limited Chief Executive Cliff Lawrenson said the ongoing services agreement was further
endorsement of the EPCM role GRD Minproc had undertaken in such a technically advanced nickel
laterite project.
“We are excited to strengthen our relationship with BHP Billiton at an operation that is a showcase for
Australian engineering talent and capability,” Mr Lawrenson said.
